Consultant Psychologist

Jane Hindley is a founding therapist at Chelsea Psychology and offers many years of experience to support couples, adolescents and families, and physical rehabilitation. Jane trained at the University of East London and completed post-graduate studies at Curtin University. Her work focuses on empowering clients to gain insight, facilitate change and improve their quality of life.

Jane also offers an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), a work-based intervention designed to enhance the emotional, mental and general psychological well-being of employees and immediate family members. EAP provides proactive interventions for the early detection and resolution of work and personal issues that may adversely affect performance and well-being.

Jane gives public talks about parenting teenagers, and has vast experience with adolescent clients. She teaches and supervises psychology and nursing students from Curtin and Notre Dame Universities in her long-held position as Psychologist for the Para/Quad Association at Shenton Park.

Jane is particularly interested in couples counselling. She also has many years of experience helping people with illness management and in sexual issues. She has worked with people with spinal injuries for over 20 years and was a Registered Nurse before training as a Psychologist.

Her approach includes supportive psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy, and she tailors her work depending on the specific needs of each client and their circumstances.
